The UTSC Community Police Services has, as its primary responsibility, the safety and security of the University community. The UTSC Campus Community Police coordinate community relations programs, provide speakers, answer inquiries on matters of law enforcement, advise on personal safety and security and other related topics.

UTSC Patrol Service

The UTSC Patrol Service is composed of licensed and uniformed security guards, supplementing the UTSC Campus Police Service by providing security and safety patrols. Patrollers conduct routine identification checks in designated study areas and provide safety escorts when requested. Safety escorts are available any time of the day or night and anytime during the year. They will meet you anywhere and accompany you anywhere on campus.
Lone Worker Program

For those members of the UTSC community who find themselves working alone after regular business hours, in isolated areas of the buildings, or for persons registered with AccessAbility Services. This program is designed to create a safer environment for users of the campus, and enables Lone Workers to sign out a personal safety radio from the UTSC Campus Police Office. Each radio has the ability to put the user in direct contact with Campus Police. To register, come by the UTSC Campus Police Office or if you are working/studying in the Instructional Centre, radios are available in the Parking Office in Room IC40.

Offers support, advice and information about intervention options for individuals who have had their personal safety compromised. They will assist in the development of a safety plan and provide referrals to appropriate resources on/off campus. Weekly office hours are held on the UTSC campus.
Sexual Harassment Office

he University’s Sexual Harassment Policy covers harassment based on sex and sexual orientation and applies to students, staff and faculty members. All forms of sexual harassment, from verbal abuse to unwanted touching to homophobic insults are covered by the University’s policy. The Sexual Harassment Officer administers the formal complaint procedure and offers non-‐partisan advice and counsel to those involved in the complaint process. Contacting the Sexual Harassment Officer is not a commitment to filing a complaint; people can contact the office on an anonymous basis simply for advice. The office is based on the St. George campus but makes visits to UTSC on a regular basis, and also by appointment.

A confidential medical clinic at UTSC offering health care, personal counseling and health promotion. Services include treatment of minor illnesses, firstp aid, pregnancy tests, annual checkp-ups, birth control prescriptions and sales, STI tests including HIV/AIDS, immunizations and overp thep counter cold and headache medications. Professionals including physicianp counsellors, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and psychotherapists can help with family problems, eating disorders, relationships, depression, anxiety, stress, drug and alcohol abuse and more. Appointments are recommended and walk-ins are accommodated.

The Academic Advising & Career Centre at UTSC provides students with degree and program planning support, study skills, job searches, and career development. They have scheduled and dropp in appointments. They offer academic advising and study skills tools and programing.
AccessAbility Services

Services are provided to students who have a mental health disability, learning disability, attention deficit disorder, acquired brain injury, physical, sensory (hearing/vision), or chronic health condition (e.g., epilepsy, cancer, bowel disease) as well as students who have temporary disabilities such as a broken dominant arm. Students who register and utilize the services will not be identified on their transcript as receiving accommodations. Information disclosed to the service is confidential and is disclosed with the student’s permission. To register, contact the service.
