The statement of teaching philosophy (STP) is the foundation of any teaching dossier, is often requested as part of an academic job application, and is an important part of the tenure and promotion process. This short statement needs to effectively communicate your ideas, beliefs, and values about teaching in a condensed space. In writing your STP, evaluation, feedback, and revision are almost essential to preparing an effective document. This workshop is intended for students who have a full draft of their STP and who are interested in working in small groups to provide receive feedback and suggestions on STP statements.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to bring two copies (double-spaced), 14pt font, of a complete STP to this workshop. If you have any accessibility needs that you would like to bring to the attention of the facilitators, please contact services.ta@utoronto.ca
