Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation, 130 St. George Street, Robarts Library, 4th floor
This workshop will introduce participants to infographics and how to develop them as a teaching tool for their virtual classrooms. Attendees will learn the basics of infographic making (e.g. making information concise, easy to read and follow), how to identify pertinent information to include in infographics, and resources they can use to create them for students. Participants will then apply this new knowledge though guided breakout groups to work together to create a mock infographic.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Understand what an infographic is
• Identify when to use an infographic
• Explore ways to include infographics in tutorials and beyond
• Create an accessible and well-formatted infographic
