Grades remain a common source of friction between instructors and students. Yet fair and transparent marking should help students understand why they received a certain grade. At the same time you need to manage your time. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1.  place marking into the context of learning,
  2.  name some tricks to make marking fair, time efficient, and helpful to students, and
  3. consider rubrics to assist your marking.
