Description

In this roundtable, we invite participants to identify
and discuss some of the barriers and challenges that women may face when
teaching in the STEM fields. Through a process of self-reflection and a review
of the current literature, participants will have the opportunity to be
informed of some of the common issues encountered by women when teaching in
STEM and to participate in the development of potential solutions to help
navigate these challenges. A discussion of imposter syndrome, student-teacher
relationships and classroom management will be paired with tips and techniques
to help address these common concerns and to help optimize the teaching
experience. Please note, registration for this session is
open to women-identified people only.
