This workshop mixes brief presentations with activities that enable participants to (1) identify
common undergraduate problems with research, (2) learn current best practices and resources to
address such problems, and (3) formulate strategies they would use to help students improve their
research process. The workshop is held in the Library Instruction Lab at UTSC. It provides participants
with an in-depth, hands-on guide to top resources for research, including resources specific to the U
of T/UTSC context, with special attention to research strategies and support that may be unfamiliar to
(or underutilized by) undergraduates. In addition, graduate students who are relatively new to the U
of T/UTSC context for online research may find this session informative for their own research
practice.
