Teaching Assistants' Training Program

Description

The following TA job training session has been scheduled at the UTSC campus. Students must register in advance for their required training sessions at the CTL TA events page (https://ctl.utsc.utoronto.ca/booking/tatp/) or by using the links below. Space is limited. Only students who register in advance will be guaranteed a space. Registration lists will be sent to departments to check; CTL will use the lists to create the attendance sheets students will sign at the sessions.

This session will include topics such as University of Toronto Policies around teaching, classroom management, professionalism, grading and other important information for first contract TAs.

All departments may allow TAs to use this three-hour session as their paid mandatory training (per the collective agreement between C.U.P.E. 3902 and the University of Toronto). If this is the case, please read the information on Paid Training carefully. If you have any questions, please contact services.ta@utoronto.ca.
