Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation, 130 St. George Street, Robarts Library, 4th floor
The following TA job training sessions have been scheduled at the UTSC campus. Students need to register for their required training sessions by using the links belowor at the CTL TA events page:
https://ctl.utsc.utoronto.ca/booking/tatp/.Space is limited. Only students who register in advance will be guaranteed a space.
TAs must register in advance for the correct session required by their department and course instructor—otherwise, the TA’s department may not receive confirmation that he or she completed the required training. Registration lists will be sent to departments to check; CTL will use the lists to create the attendance sheets students will sign at the sessions.
Departments will inform their TAs concerning the type of training they are required to attend. New TAs who primarily do grading may be asked to register for both “First Contract—General” and “First Contract—Grading.” New TAs who lead tutorials or practicals may be asked to attend “First Contract—General” and one of the four tutorial training sessions (one hour each), for a total of three hours of training.
Attendance is required for the full session (not starting 10 minutes later), and will be reported to the department and the course instructors.
