Teaching Assistants' Training Program

Description

In this workshop, participants will use Lego to identify and discuss their transferable skills. Through periods of building, reflection, discussion and notetaking, participants will begin to identify and communicate their interprofessional competencies, especially those related to teaching and communication. Participants are encouraged to come prepared to build with Lego and to engage in detailed discussion with co-participants about their skill-based models for academic and non-academic careers. This workshop will draw on the Lego Serious Play model which means: everyone builds and everyone discusses. We encourage participants to bring a phone or camera to capture photos of their models.
