Thursday, January 6, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am EST

Details

Date:
Thursday, January 6, 2022
Time:
9:00 am - 10:00 am EST

Description

Are you an international teaching assistant (TA) who is starting a teaching assignment this coming winter or a graduate student who wants to engage in a conversation about teaching at the university?

Drop in during these informal Q&A sessions in January to:

  • explore strategies and resources to support you in virtual and in-person teaching
  • crowdsource and receive feedback on activities to engage your students
  • engage in conversation with current TAs on their teaching experiences and reflections
  • learn about resources from the Teaching Assistants’ Training Program (TATP) and Student Life

No prior registration is required! The Q&A drop-in sessions will be facilitated by Graduate Educational Developers from TATP and a Learning Strategist from Academic Success. Feel free to stay for the full hour or until your questions have been answered.

The 1-hour sessions will be held in mornings and afternoons over Zoom to accommodate different schedules and time zones on the following dates (all times are Eastern Time Zone [EDT]):

9am – 10am ET Zoom Link: https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/84265261483

1pm – 2pm ET Zoom Link: https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/87070535521

Feel free to enter the Zoom session at any time during the scheduled hour.

As a friendly reminder, the E-Orientation for International TAs is an asynchronous program of self-directed modules, short videos, and resource pages hosted on Quercus that you are welcome to self-register for.
