Description

Enhancing critical thinking skills is crucial for students to grasp and retain course material effectively. However, traditional tutorial and exam formats often fall short of fostering these skills, particularly for success in scientific research settings.
This workshop introduces an innovative teaching approach centered on incorporating thought-provoking questions into teaching sessions. By challenging students beyond standard learning, it not only boosts their engagement but also cultivates a self-driven desire for deeper understanding and confidence in their abilities.
The workshop’s primary goal is to familiarize educators with this method, and encouraging them to integrate critical thinking-invoking questions into their teaching strategies. Ultimately, this approach aims to better prepare them for the rigours of a research-oriented academic journey.
