Do you want to invigorate your teaching with new strategies, techniques, or activities, but are not sure where to start? Maybe you want to try something new in the classroom, but are afraid of resistance from students if you change things up? In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the benefits and limitations of taking teaching risks. We will pay special attention to creative solutions for teaching dilemmas or stagnant content and how students can leverage creativity into their learning. Through a process of assessment, planning, implementation, and reflection, participants will leave this workshop with a clear view of how to how to put worthwhile and meaningful teaching risks into practice.
