Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation, 130 St. George Street, Robarts Library, 4th floor
The aim of this session is to challenge you to recognize the workings of culture (organizational, regional, national, etc.) in your interactions with students, and to develop strategies for communicating, understanding, and assessing effectively across these diverse perspectives in a classroom or lab setting. Through unpacking scenarios and addressing challenges related to offering spoken or written feedback, this workshop offers a collaborative space for you and fellow participants to jointly come up with strategies for assessing student work across cultures and to compile a toolkit of concrete takeaways that can be applied in both face-to-face and online courses.
