Teaching can bring us many unexpected questions and circumstances; this can be both exciting and worrying. To strengthen our problem solving skills for teaching and learning, this workshop invites participants to work collaboratively through a series of teaching and learning cases. Each case will be complex and require particular teaching skills (e.g. communication in writing or in conversation; preparation of teaching materials; navigating institutional resources). The focus of the workshop is on practicing and strengthening some of our skills in order to be better problem solvers. Participants wishing to propose a particular challenge for inclusion in the workshop are invited to email Marie Vander Kloet with an idea at marie.vanderkloet@utoronto.ca by March 13.
Please note that this workshop will be held in a different location than usual, on the fifth floor of BV. The stairs across from Tim Hortons will take you to the central part of the fifth floor BV hallway where the seminar room can be found; it’s next to a small lobby area. The elevator near Tims (and the Bookstore) also provides access.
